Teaser Tuesday - Firefly Lane

When I started reading this I realized I had gotten the first couple chapters in my email about a year ago from the online book club my local library hosts. They send snippets of a book every day for a week and if you like it, they assume you will go to the library and check it out. I thought the beginning sounded awfully familiar, but I could NOT think of how it ended.. so glad that mystery was solved!

"Something was wrong, a wave of dizziness struck her so hard and suddenly
that she stumbled.
"Hold on honey," Tully said, moving her gently toward the door. "We
need to get to a phone." - pg. 246

Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah is our Blogger Book Club selection for the month of April. Who is reading?

I read this book in the fall I believe? It was a decent book but I did not care for Tully... Just didn't agree with some of her behaviors & the way she treated her friend at times...

Haha Lisa I knew it was Tully you didn't like- I didn't like her either, but I tried to be sympathetic because of her family situation...I think the author wanted us to.

I finished Firefly Lane yesterday and I really liked it overall- there were moments in the book that I hated it but I don't think it was the BOOK I hated, more the situations. I hate that females feel like they have to decide between being successful and being a good mom...I hate that teenage girls and their mom almost never get along, and there was more but I don't want to give away too much. I'll save that for the end of the month.
